THE FUTURE OF THE ENVIRONMENT?
Block of short films focusing on visions of the future from the 1930s to the 1980s. All films are connected through the theme of technological progress and the relationship between man and nature with special emphasis on ecological thinking. On the one hand documentary and almost appealingly happy perspective deriving from the belief in technology and its development, which makes our lives easier, on the other hand, skeptical and critical perspective and disillusion about the direction towards which we’re aiming and how the human effort to overcome nature can lead to its destruction.
