FILMGAMING – INSERT COFFEE AND PIZZA TO SEE THE TRAILER
Ivo Stružinský
Insert coffee and pizza to see the trailer
Game trailers exist somewhere on the boundary between film, games, and advertisement. Short, intense doses of hype can electro-shock the gamers community to enthusiasm. Or disgust. What is the reality of making a game trailer? Is it true that there are no limits to filmmaking in the virtual world? And will Kojima come? Kojima won’t come, and all the rest will be revealed in person...
Ivo is a Senior Video Artist at Bohemia Interactive where he – along with his fearless team – tames unspeakable hacks and uses occult methods to force unfinished games to behave in a representative manner. When he’s not working on trailers, he enjoys gaming and taking photos on film (that he’ll never develop).

FILMGAMING
Short film has great prospects for the future! One of the areas which it now occupies is also the never-ending world of digital games which often hide short films of various forms. And because we enjoy playing them, we shook hands with the festival Gamer Pie and decided to take a look at these possible Futures together. We won’t be reading coffee grounds or ponder about tarot cards, however. You can look forward to guests whose past, present, and future is connected to the development of games.
Throughout the entire festival you’ll have the opportunity to watch an interactive film, play games that flirt with film, or use VR.
