“The Brick Block” is a special section of Brno 16 where you will discover the potential hiding in animated films made by using LEGOs.

Thanks to the arrival and better accessibility of digital technologies within the last 16 years, these films basically became a genre of their own. You may look forward to an hour long programme full of the best short films from authors from all over the world. The selection of genres will be diverse, as well as the selection of ideas and animation techniques. There will also be a lot of humour.

Films for this block have been selected by people from the field, amateur filmmakers Martin Fiala and Nikolas Rigo, who will also manage the thematic workshop accompanied by a lecture where you’ll be able to attempt to use stop- motion technology on your own.
