Mad Bara, princess Mechmene Banu from Legends of Love, or the wife of amoral manufacturer in communist propaganda Citizen Brych. Three important roles from the beginnings of the filmography of an actress whose personal and artistic life was permanently connected to Brno. Selection from the extensive collection of private films shot with a 8mm camera introduces more moments from both theatre and film career of Vlasta Fialova. Through amateur film shots we will take a peek into the backstage of TV studio during the development of the footage of performance of the Mahen's drama group (1961), visit the film festival in Karlovy Vary (1958), and the shooting of exteriors for two psychological dramas — The House at a Crossroads (1959), and The Ninth Name (1963).
