CHILDREN’S 16 II | CHILDREN'S FILMS FROM THE REEL
The relationship between film and children has gone through many dynamic changes since the beginnings of cinematography: children were originally a documented part of a family. Films with children in them and films for children started to be created much later (1920s). Finally, the 1960s date the beginnings of films created by children.
This block of short films will introduce incredible examples of films for children and with children shot on the narrow 9,5mm, 16mm and 8mm formats in former Czechoslovakia between the 1930s and 1970s.
