Atelier Duchů („The Ghost Studio“) focuses on the development of games and their participatory culture in the context of contemporary art. For a long time, we have been looking for an authentic way of presenting board and digital games, including experimental game formats. In the premises of Kino Art, it presents an installation of Herna Duchů („Ghost Game Room“), in which it combines elements of an arcade game room and a sports bar. The installation thus represents not only a section of the studio's inventory but also ambivalent attitudes towards a mainstream understanding of game culture.
Herna Duchů is a project of Gallerie Art and is part of the accompanying program of the BRNO16 festival.
The project was implemented with the financial support of the statutory city of Brno, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the State Fund of Culture of the Czech Republic and FaVU BUT.
