Skin and masks
The curatorial video compilation is related to the ongoing exhibition Skin and masks in the space of TIC Gallery. Besides the visual language that mixes documentary footage with animation, they also share a method of abstracting. Polina Davydenko's mined piece of carbon sings regretfully about climate change, Jan Boháč's text refers about the situation of a sudden and irreversible accident and feelings of dissociation, and András Cséfalvay allegorically narrates the fatal consequences of change. In Matěj Sláma's digital environment, we move fluidly between "here" and "there", real and virtual, internal and external space, which led us to think about a different kind of impenetrable and simultanously merged space between home and abroad in the context of economic migration together with Polina Davydenko.
