Czech short-sequence cinematography deserves attention — and not just because it’s “ours”. It has everything the audience might be missing in features: ideas, playfulness, dynamics, nonconformity, genre trifles, and even personal topics. The noncompetitive section Czech 16 will present the most interesting short films from our homeland. There will be films from FAMU Prague, JAMU Brno, UTB in Zlín, and also one short film shot in completely amateur conditions. The projection will be completed with a discussion with the authors. Come and see how diverse can Czech film actually be.
