It is late at night and the visitors have finally left. Marie and Josef, a married couple, are tired and go to bed, quarrelling a bit about which one of them kept the visitors - relatives of theirs, also husband and wife - so late. Marie tucks herself in, under the quilt, and Josef tries to embrace her. Shortly after they switch the lights off, the telephone rings. Their relatives have missed their bus. Josef is unable to tell them that they are already in bed and invites them to come again. The couple quickly changes from pyjamas to their day clothes to welcome the returning visitors with a smile on their faces...
