Every household is bothering their surroundings using “the furnace tyranny” and wastes coal (i. e. national treasure). Not enough heat, but plenty of soot and dirt! Heating plants are the new revolution and promoted as the best, the cleanest and the most efficient source of heat and electricity at the end of forties and beginning of fifties.
