The 60th Brno 16 is in full swing

And where can you attend its awesome programme? The home base of the festival is Kino Art where Brno 16 returned after two years in exile which it spent for instance in the Hall of Břetislav Bakala and the Museum of Decorative Arts. Kino Art awaits you with the international competition, blocks of the first ever edition of the Czechoslovakian 16, and heaps of off-programme events, such as children’s blocks, video-gaming programme, and an art exhibition. The Big Hall of Kino Art is also the location where you can meet the authors and other guests who came to Brno to discuss their work.

Cihlářská is not the only location with programme, though. You can also see some of the competition blocks and off-programme events in No Art on Radnická where you can also attend a quiz that will test your knowledge of film games. Another screening location is Alliance Francaise on the Moravian Square, which offers screenings of international competition films. You will also be able to see films of the visionaries Chris Marker and Alain Resnais there. Finally, the last B16 location – Villa Löw-Beer – offers all blocks of the Czechoslovakian 16 as well as a block of Czech post-November animated films, all connected by the theme: The Future.

Brno 16 will also move to PRAHA / Fórum pro Architekturu a Média where you can attend the discussion panel VOD where experts in the field will talk about the possibilities of short film on this platform.

The entire programme is available here. Choose whatever tickles your fancy and set off to Brno 16!
