Ian Christie is a British film historian, curator and professor. He's the author and editor of many books; amongst others about Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, Terry Gilliam, or Martin Scorsese. His area of interest is also the history of film production design, early (and new) optical media, or the cultural impact of film in the digital age. He's the president of the company Europa Cinemas and works for a whole scale of cultural institutions, e. g. UK Screen Heritage Programme Board or London Film Museum.
