Do you know that BRNO16 celebrates its 65th birthday this year? In October, our festival team will serve a good portion of shorts to celebrate it. The most interesting short films in the international competition and Czechoslovakian 16, the entertaining gems from the past, as well as shorts that are successful outside cinema, for example, in the world of video games or art galleries. And that’s just a start!

It may seem like a long time until autumn, but we are busy exploring, planning, debating and preparing. During our meeting in April, we did not only discuss all the beautiful films we want to show you but also the off-programme. What do we have in store for you?

The present authors will happily talk to you during the Q&A sessions or over a drink in the café. The international jury and other experts will discuss the shorts and much more. If you are not in the mood for debates, the festival venues also host exhibitions. The Black Hole will offer its own programme too.

The festival team is also looking for answers to other burning questions, such as what music you would like to dance to both in front of the screen and in the café or those about the catering of the closing party. The preparations are moving fast, and we cannot wait to introduce it all to you!
