Wanderkino on Moravian Square

Wanderkino (a wandering cinema) has been travelling all over Europe since 1999. It presents silent films and talkies of various genres (slapstick, feature films, indies, avantgarde, and experimental) using a 16mm projector. Its fire engine Magirus Deutz 1969 is not only an ideal mode of transport but also serves as a great prop. All silent films will be accompanied live by Sebastian Pank on saxophone and bass clarinet and Tobian Rank on piano. These professional musicians from Leipzig turn every screening into an impressive visual and acoustic experience. The resulting atmosphere evokes nostalgia of early cinematography.
