The Festival is running! Opened officially by Marika Kupková, artistic director, and Milan Šimánek, festival director, is going on in a big style. Our guests, authors and visitors enjoyed the first day and opening party to the full.

This year's motto sounds "We are a family, and this is also reflected in a sophisticated accompanying program. You will see contemporary Asian movies featuring a family or experimental pictures of Austrian filmmaker Josef Dabernig about family and family members. You will not miss a favourite retro block, this time about the socialist family, because the family is the foundation of the state, and as a whole, it has to be planned.

In addition, you can enjoy the traditional Czech 16 or the retrospective of amateur filmmaker, animator and important figures of the Brno cultural scene Emil Kubiš. The topic of the family is asking for a discussion panel, which also appears in the accompanying program. Festival manners also ask for a workshop. This will be led by English filmmaker David Bonnevile and will deal with the complex formation of a short film from theoretical preparation to post-production. Culture-loving viewers will not be deprived of an exhibition with a vernissage. More about the program soon!
